Central University of Iowa at Pella in 1943, magna cum laude with a History Major.
Graduated from Western Theological Seminary at Holland, Michigan in June 1946
and served his first pastorate at Ferry Memorial Community Church (Dutch Reformed affiliation)
at Montague, Michigan and 2 other pastorates in Montclair and Denver until 1950. After a nervous
breakdown he left the ministry and has been active in Real Estate in Denver for over 38 years.
Opened his own real estate company in 1957. Has been President of the YMCA and head of the
Arbitration Board for the Real Estate Commission in Jefferson County. Various activities included
many services to the Bear Creek Presbyterian church, assisting in the various board positions,
on the Pastor Search Committee when our pastor died and on the Executive Committee for many years.
Still teaching a Sunday School class up until the time of his death of a massive heart attack in his sleep
